Requirements to Adopt a Wire Hair Fox Terrier
1. We do not place our dogs in homes with small children. We cannot guarantee their behavior with small children.
2. Fenced yard. Invisible fencing MAY be accepted if we know the dog has been successful on invisible fencing prior.
3. Terrier experience.

About Jeffrey
Jeffrey is a Wire Fox Terrier Mix
Jeffrey's Age, Health
Jeffrey is about 2-3 years old. He weighs 22#. He came from S. Carolina where an all breed rescue group saved him from a shelter where he was to be euthanized. They discovered he had heartworm and no treatment was available for him. We offered to take him here where our vet can still obtain treatment. He will be ready to place soon.
Jeffrey's Temperament
Jeffrey is a very friendly guy. He is housebroken. He requires positive reinforcement training. He is hand shy so we believe he has been harshly treated in the past. Jeffrey mostly ignores other dogs.
Jeffrey's Ideal Owner
Jeffrey needs a home willing to work on positive reinforcement training.

About Cooper
Cooper is a Wire Fox Terrier
Cooper's Age, Health
We estimate Cooper to be about 5 years old. He came from a KS puppy mill. He has been with his foster mom for about a year and he is very comfortable there but he cannot stay, he must move on. He is a very healthy boy. He is up to date on his vaccinations and he is on heartworm prevention.
Cooper's Temperament
Cooper gets along well with all his dog friends in his foster home. He is crate trained. He is affectionate and he loves his foster mom and dad.
Cooper Ideal Owner
Cooper will require a Terrier experienced owner. He has failed at a previous adoptive home because they gave up after only a couple of days. He is frightened by changes in his situation and will need someone with patience. He came from a puppy mill and has blossomed in his foster home. He will need time to blossom in his forever home too!
